For the last 12 weeks we have been working on Psalm 23 using the book, A Shepherd looks at Psalm 23, written by W. Phillip Keller.

Love as a word describes an emotion with vastly differing degrees of intensity. We can say we love ice cream and chocolate, and we can pledge our love to a husband or wife until our dying breath.

I am awestruck that God cannot fall out of love with us.  After all, he knows every sin we have committed and every transgression in our lives. He loved David while he committed adultery, he loved him as he plotted murder. He loved Judas even after he collected 30 pieces of silver to betray him and still Jesus yearned for him to repent. God loves without condition.

As I begin to ponder God’s love for me, I wonder just what does God see in me? Does He see a man who studies and struggles to understand His Word? Does He see a man who loves (as He does) with all his heart and soul?
