What Does God See in Me?

As I begin to ponder God’s love for me, I wonder just what does God see in me?

Does He see a man who studies and struggles to understand His Word?

Does He see a man who loves (as He does) with all his heart and soul?

Does He see a man who makes mistakes that he feels like he should not be making? Not major mistakes, but simple things that should’ve been taking care of long ago and repents as soon as he becomes aware of them.

Does God see a man who rests in His presence, no matter what is going on around him, whether it be chaos or quietness?

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no enemy can withstand].” - Psalm 91:1 AMPC

When the Lord looks down and sees me, does He see a man who continually strives to lean on and trust in Him?

Does the Lord see a man who yearns to hear the Holy Spirit speak to him? That trusts what he hears from the Holy Spirit?

“I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him, I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!” - Psalm 91:2 AMPC

Does He see a man who is confident in the answers he gets from the Holy Spirit, knowing without a shadow of a doubt that he is being protected and guided and will avoid hardship?

“For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.” - Psalm 91:23 AMPC

This scripture speaks of protection and avoidance of hardship if we will do it His way.

Does The Lord see a man who is not afraid, for he knows how to come to the Lord and seek protection when calamity strikes or when problems are all around?

Does this man worry or does he delve deep into the Word of God and cling to the Lord’s protection?

Looking at these scriptures as we see the Lord’s protection:

4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,  6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.   7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.   8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.   9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. - Psalm 91:4-9 AMPC

Hopefully, God sees a man who is making major efforts to become the man He has created him to be.  A man who has studied and is studying to show himself approved.  A man who knows full well that God loves him so much. God sent His son (Jesus) to suffer, being whipped at the cross so that we all can be healed, whole and thrive in this life, and Jesus died on the cross for us all. Now we can be saved! However we must accept Jesus as our Savior.  This man knows that the Word of the Lord tells him that angels are forted around him to protect him.

11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. - Psalm 91:11 AMPC

These few items are just a glimpse of some of the perks, as some would say, of being saved.
