Trying Times | God’s Love
This was meant to be posted in September, however do to the current situation, it got lost in the shuffle. So finally here it is.
Today is the day of remembrance of our most recent attack on America. Before this, we had Pearl Harbor and the World Wars. These were all hard times when people needed to pull together in order to be successful and win. And in times past we have faced many worldwide health crises, some have been called pandemics and some have not. All of these things have called us to work together. God has asked us to love one another as He has loved us. How much more can anyone love than to give up their life for a friend or even someone they don’t even know. Would you do that, would I do that? I hope I never have to find out. But I sure am glad that God (Jehovah God) sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins before I was ever born. Before I did anything right or anything wrong, He knew me from the foundation of the earth and loved me so much that He did not want to lose me. Not not only me, this includes every person or soul (mind, will and emotion) on the earth. Not only did He die on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, He took a massive beating at the whipping post for the healing of my body. The crown of thorns was smashed down on His head for the renewing of our minds. And He was humiliated as all this took place. But yet He did it because of His great love for us and because of His obedience to the Father—because He said in His word that He only did what the Father told Him to do, nothing more, nothing less.
Now I wonder how all the people that don’t treat other people with respect can justify their disrespect and their hatred for God’s created beings. We have all been created by God. Jehovah God breathed the breath of life into everyone. When we talked about the use of laminin in previous articles, we saw that the sign of the cross is used in everyone’s body, in every cell of everyone’s body. It doesn’t matter if you’re American, Chinese, African, South American and it certainly does not matter the color of your skin. Because if you dig further into laminin you find out that everyone is a tone of brown; some are extremely light and some are darker and yet some are very dark. That shows we all indeed come from Adam and then through Noah after the great flood, and so if you go back far enough we are all related.
Ephesians 4:23
Be and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God has forgiven you.
If you have a problem with someone, we need to seek God’s way of forgiveness. This goes for everyone. Colossians 3:13 states: Make allowances for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Forgiveness does not mean that the person is not guilty of what they did; and forgiveness is not necessarily for the other person, it is also for us. If we do not forgive others then God will not forgive us, and this gives the devil an open invitation to come in and harass us any time He wants. I don’t know about you, I in no way want to offend God. I in no way want to leave an open door for the enemy to come in and harass me.
I in no way want to spend eternity in hell because of somebody that offended me and that I refused to forgive. I cannot control what the other person does, whether they forgive me for the things that I did or not. For this purpose, it really doesn’t make a difference. Responsibility falls on me to forgive if I want to be forgiven.
Do some research on forgiveness, check out some scriptures on your own and see what the Bible says about it. We should never just take one person’s opinion; we should always search out for ourselves what does the Bible say about what this person is talking about. In this day and age right now, we are fighting so many battles at once and the enemy wants to overwhelm us and make us tired so we give up. Don’t ever give up, no not ever. Remember God loves you, He created the human race so we can choose to love Him. He didn’t make any mistakes and He most certainly didn’t start with you. So, I encourage you to develop a 24-7 prayer life with the Lord. Will you learn to hear Him, learn to talk to Him, so He will never say to you, “I didn’t know you.”
Get to know your Savior, get to know the Holy Spirit, get to know Jehovah God, your life will never be the same.
I bless you,
Gary Miller
